Overview:
iTVX is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer with
knowledge and experience testing metric intensive .NET, web base
application projects. This is a great opportunity to work with a
small but dedicated team of professionals and contribute to the
enhancement of ground breaking products and services for the
media and marketing industry.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the test automation effort (analysis, design, planning, coordinating)
- Maintain/establish process for overall product quality assurance
- Test release candidates and validate against browser sets and functional requirements
- Validate calculations and business rules throughout software
- Develop test automation scripts for performance and functional testing of web application
- Identify and collect production metrics for performance/load testing efforts
- Setup and tear down test environments for performance runs
- Coordinate cross team work with developers and product manager
- Other escalation, documentation, and customer management functions as assigned
Required skills:
- Experience testing web applications on multiple OS/Browser combinations
- Experience using virtualization and automation for speed testing
- Writing and implementing test plans
- Knowledge of QA conceptual and domain knowledge
- Use bug tracking systems and classifying user bug reports and feedback
- 5+ years of testing experience
- 3+ years of experience with Agile/Scrum environment
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing business needs, processes and project plan
- Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them to testing needs
Preferred skills:
- Working with Microsoft TFS 2010/2008 and VS 2010/2008
- Working experience with VS 2010 Team test / Coded UI scripting
- Experience building Virtual PC test environments
- Experience in creating automation scripting to test Silverlight app
- Preferred knowledge of MS TSQL Query language, know how to write, trace and debug SQL queries and stored procedures
- Light JavaScript experience and browser debugging tools experience a plus
- Knowledge and working experience with performance and load generation tools
- Familiarity with Windows administration tools (configuring OS, user permission, networking, security, web and SQL server)
- Knowledge of Windows PowerShell
Personal Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, related field or comparable hands-on work experience
- Strong communication skills, ownership of work and commitment to learning new skill sets as required
- Works both independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment, has initiative and a proactive approach to projects and assignments
- Ability to prioritize, be flexible, and adaptable to plans while reacting to change in a dynamic work environment
